13:42 – Ginger Mail
GINGER MAIL probably would have opened his account over hurdles if he hadn’t made a mess of the second last and unseated his rider at Kelso three weeks ago. He was seemingly travelling best at the time, notably hitting a low of 1.15 in-running. He remains with potential when everything falls right over hurdles and this looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark if avoiding mistakes.
14:15 – Message Personnel
MESSAGE PERSONNEL ran a solid race when filling the runner-up spot on his latest outing at Wetherby, staying on well to be beaten just a length and a half. That form puts him right in the mix here and his strength at the finish suggests the step up in trip could unlock further progress. Therefore, he rates an obvious selection to register his first success since joining the Dan Skelton yard.

14:50 – Lord Accord
LORD ACCORD has made an encouraging start to his chasing career and he was well on top at the finish when resuming winning ways at Taunton in December. That race was run at just a steady gallop, but the form has plenty of substance and Lord Accord won by a length and a half after staying on to lead on the run-in. With further improvement on the cards, he is fancied to defy a 2 lb rise in the weights to make it three from four over fences.
15:25 – Chirico Vallis
CHIRICO VALLIS showed a good attitude to register his first victory over fences at Chepstow in October, finding plenty on the run-in to land the spoils by a head. He then ran to a similar level after three months off when finishing third in the Classic Chase at Warwick last time, albeit shaping as if the trip stretched his stamina. The drop back to three miles here will be in his favour and the balance of his form suggests he could still be on a good mark.

16:00 – Half Track
HALF TRACK was very game when opening his account over hurdles at Ayr nine weeks ago, digging deep when challenged to win by half a length. That form is working out well and Half Track will command plenty of respect now making the switch to handicaps in his follow-up bid. An opening BHA mark of 115 already looks workable and he may yet have more to offer now stepping up in trip to three miles.

16:35 – Dolphin Square
DOLPHIN SQUARE appeared to have plenty in hand when winning a similar event at Lingfield eight days ago, landing the spoils by three lengths and looking value for extra after being eased down close home. A useful hurdler on his day, he is lightly raced and still open to improvement over fences, so it’s hard to oppose him here before a potential run at the Cheltenham Festival.

17:10 – Spanish Present
SPANISH PRESENT showed fair form in three starts in Ireland for Paul Cashman, producing his best effort when last seen finishing third (beaten only two lengths) at Fairyhouse six weeks ago. That form sets the standard in this line-up and his experience will count for a lot in a race set to be run on soft going. He can make a winning start to life with the Martin Keighley yard.
