13:55 Forward Plan
This doesn’t look a strong maiden hurdle for the track and it is FORWARD PLAN who is fancied to build on the promise he showed at Fontwell earlier this month. He was given a very conservative ride that day, left with plenty to do leaving the back straight and not at all given a hard time. It could be he is being brought along with handicaps in mind, but this looks a very winnable race, and he is worth chancing. Wincanton runner-up Super Duper Sam, who also has better days ahead of him, is feared most.

14:30 Tequila Blaze
TEQUILA BLAZE had plenty of starts in maiden and novice company but has improved since sent handicapping, recording a career-best effort when making a winning start in this sphere at Ascot in November, and running just as well in defeat when asked to come from too far back at Kempton last time. The winner of that race has won impressively since, so the form is solid, and Tequila Blaze remains unexposed at this trip. So Said I is going the right way and is second choice, while Gran Luna will be a huge threat if her stamina holds.

15:05 Shakem’ Up’arry
SHAKEM UP’ARRY was highly tried over hurdles last season following an impressive debut in that sphere and he confirmed the positives of his abortive chasing debut when opening his account over fences at Haydock in December. He didn’t seem to relish the step up in trip when a well-beaten third in a Grade 2 back at Haydock last time, but he is potentially well treated returned to two miles now making his handicap debut in this sphere. There should be more to come. The in-form Dreams of Home rates the chief threat, especially if a recent wind op ekes out some improvement.
15:40 Another Crick
ANOTHER CRICK was the beneficiary of some extremely lenient handicapping and he duly proved fitter for his reappearance when resuming winning ways back over fences at Wincanton last month. A subsequent 2 lb rise still leaves him well treated on the pick of his form and he seems sure to launch another bold bid. The thriving Casa Tall is next best ahead of Out On The Tear, who finished over two lengths behind the selection at Wincanton and is 2 lb better off here.
16:15 Storm Arising
STORM ARISING was a useful staying hurdler last season and left the impression he would come on plenty for his debut over fences at Chepstow over Christmas. He was beaten by a couple of above average types that day who have since gone on to frank the form in no uncertain terms, so Storm Arising could be worth chancing having been dropped 5 lb since. Bothwell Bridge and the returning Young Bull are feared most in an intriguing race.
16:50 Nollyador
The one to focus on could be NOLLYADOR, who has shown promise on all three starts, particularly when runner-up at Doncaster last month, and this represents a good opportunity for him to go a place better. Sandalwood should learn from his debut sixth at Sandown so could provide the main threat, ahead of the penalised Fame And Concrete.
