Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
GUY has recorded six defeats since his winning start over fences but he posted a career best when second at Ascot in November, form that has been boosted since. Guy needs to put a poor run over the same course behind him, but today’s conditions will suit and he’s impossible to discount.
All three of CHAVEZ’s runs have come on on soft/heavy ground and he won on debut in Chepstow bumper (2m) in November 2020 and, following a wind op, he returned to form when second there (2m3f) in December on his first hurdle start. In top hands today.
ELOQUENT ARTHUR won twice on turf for Richard Hannon but was a bit below his best on AW on final British start. Now faces a number of in-form rivals on his Irish debut.
ALMUFEED showed a hint of ability last year and things have clicked of late, winning twice over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last month. Is now creeping up the weights but there should be more in the tank.
