12:15 – Captain Biggles

CAPTAIN BIGGLES was runner-up to a couple of good ones in novices last season and this looks a good opportunity for him to go one better now fitted with a tongue tie. Domandlouis shaped well on his hurdles bow here and the step up in trip will suit, so he can follow the selection home.

12:45 – Golan Cloud

GOLAN CLOUD returned with a good effort at Hexham 46 days ago and he’s likely to be better for the outing so, in a weaker race, he gets the nod to prevail. Goodtimes Badtimes arrives in form and should pose a threat if knuckling down for pressure better than last time. Your Place is also considered.

13:20 – Livelifetothemax

The best form belongs to Pat’s Pick but he makes his stable debut after a one-year absence and his current ability is hard to gauge. Fabuleux Du Clos (second choice) and Rowdy Rustler are both respected after their good recent efforts but the answer might be LIVELIFETOTHEMAX, who kept on well for second behind a useful rival over C&D five weeks ago.

13:55 – Seemorelights

Crack Du Ninian has made an excellent start to his chasing career and has obvious claims as he attempts to make it 3-3 in this sphere but an interesting alternative is SEEMORELIGHTS, who backed out of contention only in the closing stages of a C&D contest six weeks ago and ought to be better suited by today’s forecast slower ground. Course regular Ardera Cross is not the force of old but has become very well handicapped.

14:30 – Flower Of Scotland

Wakool is in prime form and might still be improving but preference is for FLOWER OF SCOTLAND, who drew nicely clear of one of Gordon Elliott’s when winning a Kelso novice last month and could be on a good mark for today’s handicap hurdle debut. Wowsham and Captain Zebo both ran well in the same race at Carlisle three weeks ago and are others to consider.

15:05 – Upandatit

UPANDATIT looks the way to go here in his quest for a first win given he reverts to his ideal distance having not got home over 3m when runner-up at Musselburgh. Destiny Is All appeals as the one to give him most to do on the back of his good C&D second, with veteran Better Getalong not ruled out either.

15:40 – Shesasupermack

Rath An Iuir, Clan Legend and Theatre World (preferred in that order) are all last-time-out winners but the first-named hasn’t raced since November 2020 and the other two are both on career-high marks. This might be best left to the mare SHE’SASUPERMACK, who held every chance before her penultimate-fence fall over C&D in November.
