16:00 Who Cares Wins
Allowed is bred to be suited by the step up in trip on this handicap debut and could play a leading role, but preference is for another 3yo filly in WHO CARES WINS who went close at Lingfield recently. Billy Roberts won well over C&D last time and looks best of the older brigade.

16:30 Obsidian Knight
The attractively bred OBSIDIAN KNIGHT went very close at 40-1 on this month’s debut over C&D and is taken to go one better today. The filly Geminga is a big danger having been a solid fourth in a Lingfield handicap last time, while Second Kingdom is another to consider despite the drop in trip not being an obvious positive on this second start.
17:00 Ballyare
With a few of these liking to go forward this should be truly run and that should again be to the benefit of BALLYARE, who appreciated a good gallop when winning over C&D eight days ago. He can defy the 5lb penalty. Invincible Larne wandered around when fourth behind the selection in that race, but would have a chance on his previous success over C&D where he had three of today’s rivals behind. Astro Jakk comes into this fresher than most and is another to consider.

17:30 Invasive
An open nursery in which INVASIVE may prove the answer, with the filly dropping in grade and likely to appreciate the return to this trip. Her stable has such a good record here. Meganseighthteen also drops in grade and is shortlisted, as is Pink Storm who is off the same mark as when runner-up on her return at Newcastle last time.
18:00 Trevolli
Having bumped into a William Haggas-trained improver when runner-up at Kempton recently, TREVOLLI is taken to return to winning ways on his second attempt at this trip. Bobba Tee won over C&D last month on his stable debut and is an obvious danger, while the newly gelded Caramelised could have some potential off this mark now back on the Flat.

18:30 Bomb Squad
Both Secret To Success and The Mackem Torpedo have dropped to attractive marks, while Rockesbury is worthy of consideration, but BOMB SQUAD could prove the answer. Little went right for him at Kempton 13 days ago, but he was only beaten a neck over this C&D the time before and a repeat of that effort may be enough. Last night’s Southwell one-two Patontheback and Lincoln Gamble will have to be respected if turned out again quickly.
19:00 The First Hurrah (NAP)
Today may well be the day the 3yo THE FIRST HURRAH (nap) lands her first win, having been a close second over C&D recently on her second stable start. The in-form Porfin is second choice ahead of the consistent course specialist Peachey Carnehan.
19:30 Power On
POWER ON hasn’t enjoyed the rub of the green of late and has slipped to a good mark so is worth siding with to make it a third AW win. Handicap debutante Eternal Light is feared most now she steps back in trip with the well-weighted Lenny’s Spirit another in the mix in a very open handicap.
