Velasco will be a tough nut to crack if able to match the form he showed when second to a very progressive rival at Worcester two starts ago but MILLE SUSSURRI launched his chasing career with two very promising efforts and gets the nod. Useful bumper performer Game On For Glory impressed on her recent hurdling debut at Lingfield and is not opposed lightly but slight preference is for RAINYDAY WOMAN, who breezed to victory on consecutive outings at Wincanton this month and, given her tendency to race freely, could quite plausibly be better suited by today’s shorter trip. Ahorsewithnoname seems to have had her limitations exposed but she ought to play a significant role too.

There is no doubt that THE BOAT (nap) was lucky to land a gamble at Market Rasen four weeks ago but the horse that was clear when falling at the final fence won by 17l off a 9lb higher mark at Catterick on Tuesday and Evan Williams’ lightly raced 5yo is probably still well handicapped after a 2lb nudge up the weights. Give Us A Swig is second choice. Eaton Miller can also feature if ready to roll after his layoff.
15:30 Time To Tinker
Hat-trick seeking Tip Top Cat is coming along nicely and should not be underestimated back up in trip. He will need more improvement to defy an 8lb rise at this level and may have to give best to TIME TO TINKER. The Paul Nicholls-trained topweight looks a tenacious type and can continue his winning sequence now going up in trip. Some Detail and Alrightjack are others of interest.
