Lingfield 11:40 – Micks Spirit
It has taken Micks Spirit a little while to relax and find a rhythm in his races. The drop down to the minimum 5f trip with the removal of the hood brought about the desired improvement last time, admittedly in a fairly weak contest at this track. Returning to a handicap with his confidence up should prove no barrier for him to post back-to-back wins. He is well drawn in stall four and the trainer is having his best year for ages.

Lingfield 13:25 – Soldier’s Minute
Just the four runners declared but Soldier’s Minute looks to have been found a very good opportunity to make the long journey down from Scotland worthwhile. This trainer and jockey combination of Keith Dalgleish and Callum Rodriguez is one we will be hearing plenty about and his last run when third to All Weather Champions Day winner, Good Effort, is a standout piece of form.
Lingfield 14:00 – Felix
A proven high-level performer around this track, Felix also boasts some excellent form in Dubai when chasing home the very talented Lord North. His run here last time behind Pyledriver was a very big effort and a reproduction of anywhere near that form will surely make him very tough to beat. Regal Reality lines up with Ryan Moore in the saddle and he is bound to take a chunk of the market.

Wolverhampton 16:00 – Rogue Storm
Tom Clover’s runner Rogue Storm has caught the eye on two of her three racecourse starts so far and looks to have been handed a very realistic mark of just 60 for her handicap debut. She hasn’t been done too many favours with a wide stall position in stall 10, but that will be factored into the price. I’m hoping that they ride her a little bit conservatively early on to get her to finish off her race strongly now stepping up to this 7f trip.
Wolverhampton 18:00 – Exalted Angel
He has managed to win over 6f but this minimum 5f test seems to suit Exalted Angel better. He badly needed his reappearance run off a long layoff in early November behind Good Effort in Listed company. However, he then fluffed his lines in the starting stalls when beaten by a fair yardstick in Mondammej over course and distance last time. Given a half-decent break this time, he’s surely going to prove far too good for these.
Wolverhampton 19:00 – Percy Willis
Percy Willis hasn’t managed to get that elusive victory on the board yet, but it’s definitely not through lack of trying. He probably went too quick on the front-end last time when connections employed new tactics, so hopefully they give him a chance to settle in the early stages and the superstar rider Tom Marquand takes over in the saddle. The re-opposing Eagle One will do well carrying 6lb extra to confirm the form of two runs ago.
