A few of these could well be progressive enough to win a maiden in due course. Seattle Creek has the rating but needs to step up on his last start here, and it is far from inconceivable that the fourth home that day Sherry Baby might turn the tables. The one to beat should be ELZAAMSAN (nap), a good second in a 1m2f maiden here last month with the step up in trip sure to suit and the stable in excellent form.

There is unlikely to be much between top-weight Newgirlintown and the thoroughly consistent No Trouble, while there could be more to come from last-time winner Summit Star. This could be the opportunity though for STORM STEPS to add to his previous three C&D wins after a return to form in a C&D claimer last week.
17:30 – Annecherie
Many of these are unproven when it comes to stamina, including one of the likely market leaders Shamiyan. Previous C&D winner Jake Peter certainly doesn’t have any questions to answer regarding stamina, but one that relished stepping up in trip last twice here is ANNECHERIE and she has very solid claims of following up last month’s win.

18:00 – Knocklane Lass
There should be more improvement to come from KNOCKLANE LASS who did not get a hard race when winning over 7f here last Friday. In Ecstasy is the only other winner in the field and may pose a greater threat than either Master Copy or Rene Artois who are closely matched on the basis of a recent clash.
18:30 – Timourid
The longer trip was not ideal for TIMOURID last time and he is more accurately assessed on his winning form in 1m claiming races. He is given slight preference over fellow dual C&D winner Punk Poet and Hightown Heights, who boasts solid claiming-race form.
19:00 – Laurens Company
Several of these have shown decent form at this venue lately. An opening mark of 65 affords the lightly-raced LAURENS COMPANY a fighting chance against Mulgrave and ychwood Whisper who renew last week’s rivalry. Royal Scholar and Lyra Belacqua could also feature.
19:30 – Alhaajeb
It looks significant that Colin Keane stays loyal to ALHAAJEB who has returned to form with two good runs over the extended 1m2f here. He won over this trip in Britain, and may account for the consistent but frustrating Burning Lake, as well as last week’s winner Riliya and Indiana Grey, whose recent course form is encouraging.
