As he avoids a penalty for his all-the-way success in a Wolverhampton apprentice event on Wednesday, Inexplicable clearly has a major chance of following up. However, ZENZERO is just preferred as he also showed a liking for Tapeta when twice successful at Newcastle in October, while his latest effort suggests he will appreciate this return to 1m. Shyjack is another to consider as he comes into this in better heart than many.

17:15 Masked Identity

The majority of these have something to prove one way or another, including recent Chelmsford scorer Hathlool over this shorter trip. However, MASKED IDENTITY doesn’t appear to have anything to prove in his hat-trick bid and a 2lbs rise for his latest success may be lenient.

17:45 Danni California

Old rivals Uckerby and Silver Bubble are solid candidates for the frame once again, but this looks a good opportunity for DANNI CALIFORNIA to get off the mark. She has shown more than enough ability to win a race like this with her Newmarket second in July looking particularly strong form in the context of this contest.

18:15 Sir Sedric

This looks competitive, but there are a few in here that like to get on with it and the three to focus on could be Cliffcake, Wudashudacuda and SIR SEDRIC. The selection won very easily at Newcastle last month and may be able to take the rise in the weights in his stride.

18:45 Mister Bluebird

Scott Dixon saddles three interesting contenders and the market should be revealing as regards their pecking order. The Daley Express won well at Wolverhampton last time, but he had finished behind MISTER BLUEBIRD in his two previous runs and Heather Main’s three-year-old can gain another success. Ooh Is It still has a bit of potential and could take a step forward from his recent reappearance.

19:15 Percy Willis

Not many of these have much to recommend them, but Newmarket raiders Murau and Mulberry Silk are both capable of progress over this new trip and feature prominently on the shortlist. PERCY WILLIS has run with great credit in 1m 4f handicaps at Wolverhampton the last twice though and this could be his day to shine.

19:45 Cafe Sydney

If enjoying a smoother trip than last time CAFE SYDNEY is capable of playing a part, while Artisan Bleu is another to consider as she is 3lbs well in following her second at Lingfield last time.
