Each and every day of the racing calendar we bring you a punt-packed NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the picks you’ll require for that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that great guide to work for us, so we’re going to use it to point you in the direction what could be a smart Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
12:00 Thurles – Beacon Edge (myracing.com)
A cracking contest to start with. Stratum is a fascinating recruit to chasing while The Bosses Oscar should continue his progress. High class staying hurdler BEACON EDGE made a perfectly satisfactory start to his chasing career over a trip short of his best at Down Royal last month and will take the beating.
13:15 Wincanton – Grosvenor Court (The Sun)
Last month’s course winner GROSVENOR COURT can defy a penalty in a race lacking any depth. Earth Lord is the standout danger, as it’s questionable what Jersey Lady achieved at Hereford.
15:25 Market Rasen – Springwell Bay (Daily Post)
This is quite a good bumper to conclude. SPRINGWELL BAY had the form of his Punchestown second boosted again when the third won nicely at Ayr on Tuesday so he’s preferred to Urban Grit, who also posted a promising opening runner-up effort in the spring. Sister Michael and Dr Richard Newland point recruit Heron Creek are others who could have a say.
15:40 Newcastle – Kingfisher Lane (Jersey Evening Post)
Stuart Crawford can land back-to-back runnings thanks to KINGFISHER LANE, who showed plenty of promise in May on his first two starts. Point winner Dondiam is feared most on his rules debut, ahead of Carlisle winner Feel Like De Baune who now carries a penalty.
