Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a tip-loaded NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the picks you’ll require for that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test for us, so we’re going to use it to steer you in the direction what could be a smart Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
Having been runner-up to Shishkin in both Lightning Novices’ Chase at Doncaster and Arkle Chase at Cheltenham, ELDORADO ALLEN has to rate as the selection in this one. Colin Tizzard’s gelding has form over both hurdles and fences, and won at Newton Abbot and Cheltenham (in a Grade 2 novice) last year. This tall horse has been tongue tied in his last two starts, he acts on heavy going and should be suited by the trip in this contest.
DUBAI SOUQ gets these conditions for the first time since his eye-catching victory at Nottingham in October 2019, and could be well set to take advantage here for trainer Saeed bin Suroor. He was also second at Yarmouth last time out.
RUN TO MILAN may have been off the track for seven months, but Victor Dartnall’s runner easily grabbed a victory in an eight-runner handicap chase over this course and distance when last seen in March. Despite a 12lbs rise in the weights, he has to enter calculations to take this race.
Kats Bob can certainly make his presence felt in the lucky last of the day at Redcar. Iain Jardine’s charge had a career best outing when scoring in a 12-runner handicap up at Musselburgh last month and is on the hunt for a three-timer here.
