Only 13 more sleeps until the Breeders Cup, but there is good action from Belmont tonight to get us preheated for the world’s premier horse racing event.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
18:41 Lia Marina
This $90,000 turf maiden has a raft of new comers but the horse I like already has nice experience Lia Marina was 3rd on debut putting up an acceptable speed figure but more importantly trainer Christopher Clement has a 20% strike rate with his maiden second start horses and daughter top US sire Uncle Mo will be very hard to beat.
20:47 Frosty Invasion
This is a wide open dirt maiden over 6 furlongs, the race is made for me by the poor Todd Pletcher horse and so I think there is value lurking in the newcomer Frosty Invasion, getting top jockey Irad Ortiz is always a massive help to any horse and this case is no different, the trainer and jockey have a 40% strike rate when they team up and Frosty Invasion has been putting in some nice 12sec furlong bits of work in the mornings at Belmont.

21:52 Public Sector
This is a very well contested grade 2 turf race that has is all for me, Solider Rising is drawn very wide and really making his task very difficult despite possibly having the best form in the race but my pick is firmly with Chad Browns Public Sector, he is going for a hat trick of graded races now and only showing signs of improving in all his runs. Once he manages to avoid being 3 wide at the bends this is the horse I will be using my power up on.
