Gym Tonic showed enough on his recent debut to be a viable candidate but there are interesting recruits from Irish points. Universal Dave is feared but perhaps OTTOMAN STYLE can make a winning debut under rules.

13:55 – Go As You Please

The safest option appears to be GO AS YOU PLEASE, who usually gives his best and returned to winning ways latest. Darebin is unpredictable but will be dangerous if able to dictate.

14:30 – Adicci

Several to consider. Haddex Des Obeaux looks on a good mark as he tackles his first handicap but preference is for ADICCI, who has plenty going for him. Thibault and No Risk Des Flos are others with claims.

15:05 – Helford River

Both Reallyradical and Goldencard (preferred in that order) have strong claims. HELFORD RIVER (nap) will find this more demanding than his two wins but he remains at the right end of the handicap and can retain his unbeaten record as a chaser.

15:40 – Celtic Tara

Two unexposed types appeal most. White Hart Lady will be thrown in on her handicap debut if finding her bumper form but marginal preference is for CELTIC TARA, who could be ready to strike after her return last month.

16:15 – Top Man

The safe option is Jaunty Soria, who returned to form with a Perth success last month. Gerboise Borget is surely going to come good sooner or later but took a heavy fall at Worcester last month. TOP MAN hasn’t done much in recent starts but the recent rain has been a positive and he could stage a revival.

16:45 – Heavey

Colonel Manderson should be watched in the market on his debut for Dan Skelton but HEAVEY looks a perfectly good option, off a favourable mark on his best form and looking in good heart at Worcester last time. Tractor Fred is preferred of the remainder.
