A cracker. BALLYADAM rates an exciting recruit but so does Cape Gentleman. Hannon could give it a good go from the front. Buddy Rich has place claims. The De Bromhead runner gets the nod.
Last month’s Navan handicap hurdle winner DIRECT IMAGE catches the eye off bottom weight with a good 7lb claimer aboard. Father Jed has prospered lately, and two other last-time-out winners, First Touch and Diggin Deep, are also worth considering. Allduckornodinner won this event two years ago and could go well having warmed up with a couple of runs over hurdles.
BELL EX ONE has the beating of Calvados and superior form in two codes to Whyzzat, rendering French recruit Laishann the obvious danger if not Sea Sessions.

Clearly this hinges on whether or not Koshari runs to his mark: if he does he’ll win. JESSE EVANS should have more to offer as a hurdler, with the other three also in with a chance.
If showing the high-class form which was a feature of his bumper career, ERIC BLOODAXE, whose only outing last season was in the Grade 1 event here at the festival, should make a smart novice hurdler this season. This looks a good starting-point for him. Chinx Of Light made a very pleasing debut here last winter, and point winner Quantum Realm remains an interesting prospect despite two bumper defeats.
It may pay to take a chance with AUCKLAND who reverts to hurdling having had three Flat runs since third at Tramore in July. Christmas Jumper has the merit of consistent form and rates a big danger. Towards the bottom of the handicap, Lady L’Lerom and Frazel Express are quite appealing.
LIZLUCKY’s Cork run was not flukey, the form worked out well and she likely has less to do here. The Elliott runners are respected but perhaps Lilian Bland has better form.
