13:55 – PERCY’S WORD

PERCY’S WORD has really got his act together over hurdles lately, winning a couple of times at Stratford and losing little in defeat when finding only one too good at Worcester last time. That was in a handicap, but connections have found a novice which won’t take much winning here, and he could be up to giving the weight away. Kanukankan showed plenty of promise on the first of his two starts last autumn and it’ll be interesting to see how strong he is in the market on his return for a yard going great guns.

14:30 – I SPY A DIVA

She did the job well when making a winning start in a bumper during the spring and appears to have been found a good opportunity here now making her hurdles debut. Granted a clear round, I SPY A DIVA she should prove much too good for her three rivals. Somewhat Cloudy, who wasn’t disgraced starting out in this sphere at Carlisle, is preferred to point winner Miss McGugen for forecast purposes.

15:05 – QUICK DRAW

QUICK DRAW showed fairly useful form over hurdles, winning a handicap from a 3 lb lower mark at Chepstow and, with his yard among the winners, he is fancied to go in at the first time of asking over fences (tall gelding with scope and is very much a chaser on looks). Nicky Henderson’s Rapid Flight also makes his chasing debut and, another winner over hurdles, he rates the chief threat on the back of a wind operation.

15:40 – PELTWELL

Looked to have more in the locker when landing a quick-fire four-timer at Hexham in the spring and, hailing from a yard that are in excellent form, PELTWELL is taken to pick up where she left off on her return to action from what still looks a lenient enough mark. Theocrat is feared most on the back of his recent Worcester success, although the returning Tonyx is weighted to go well also if bouncing back from a fall at Taunton.

16:15 – ET APRES THOU

With the Philip Hobbs team in such good form a chance is taken on ET APRES THOU, who is well handicapped on his peak hurdle exploits, and it’s possible a wind operation since last seen will have benefited him. Achy Breaky Heart arrives at the top of her game and should go well again, while Rintulla was successful on his latest completed start so also has to enter the reckoning.

16:50 – RAILWAY MUICE

On a roll at present, winning his last three starts and, still favourably treated based on his chasing form, RAILWAY MUICE he gets the narrow vote ahead of White Walker, who has shaped well on both starts since scoring at Market Rasen in August and remains one to be interested in. Motion In Limine is an interesting recruit from Ireland, so he’s also worthy of consideration on debut for a new yard.
