Aircraft Carrier

Trainer: Luke Comer Jockey: C. J. MacRedmond Age: 6 Weight: 9st 12lbs

He has had 19 runs since last win in 2019. He was tailed-off fifth of eight to Search For A Song in Loughbrown Stakes at this course and distance (good to soft) 14 days ago. Must improve.

Shoshone Warrior

Trainer: Joseph Patrick O’Brien Jockey: S. M. Crosse Age: 4 Weight: 9st 12lbs

Ran one of this season’s better races when sixth of 23 in handicap at Leopardstown (12.8f, good) 29 days ago. The colt is back up in trip here.

Benaud

Trainer: Joseph Patrick O’Brien Jockey: M. P. Sheehy Age: 3 Weight: 9st 9lbs

He had his latest win at Naas in May and was a creditable second of five in minor event at Dundalk (12f, 6/1) 23 days ago, having run of race. He is significantly up in trip in this one.

Carlisle Bay

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien Jockey: Emmet McNamara Age: 3 Weight: 9st 7lbs

A lightly-raced winner. The colt was a creditable 16-and-a-quarter lengths seventh of 13 to Sonnyboyliston in Irish St Leger at this course (14f, good, 80/1) 28 days ago. The trainer is going well and he makes handicap debut.

Ebendi

Trainer: Joseph Patrick O’Brien Jockey: D. B. McMonagle Age: 4 Weight: 9st 7lbs

Another lightly-raced winner. He is having his first run since leaving D. K. Weld when a 5-and-a-half lengths fifth of seven to Dalton Highway in minor event at Killarney (16.8f, good) 52 days ago. Makes handicap debut.

Monas Melody

A winner on Flat and a lightly-raced entrant. Good eighth of 23 in handicap (40/1) at Leopardstown (12.8f, good) 29 days ago, finishing with running left. Up in trip.

Lynwood Gold

Trainer: Henry de Bromhead Jockey: William James Lee Age: 6 Weight: 9st 6lbs

A course winner. He was sixth of 8 in handicap at Tramore (16f, soft) 57 days ago. This is his first run for yard after leaving Jessican Harrington. A tongue strap is back on for this race.

Royal Illusion

Trainer: W. P. Mullins Jockey: K. J. Manning Age: 9 Weight: 9st 6lbs

She won this corresponding event in 2019, but wasn’t seen to best effect when 18th of 23 in handicap at Leopardstown (12.8f, good) 29 days ago – not getting a clear run. She is back up in trip here and enters calculations.

Turnpike Trip

Trainer: Charles Byrnes Jockey: S. P. Davis Age: 7 Weight: 9st 4lbs

He proved better than ever when winning nine-runner handicap at Newmarket (18f, good) 22 days ago, he had to dig deep to do it though. He can give another good account of himself on Sunday.

Whirling Dervish

Trainer: J. F. Levins Jockey: D. W. O’Connor Age: 6 Weight: 9st 4lbs

The gelding was seventh of eight in novice chase at Kilbeggan (25f, good to soft) on debut over fences 64 days ago. He was fairly useful on the Flat, but below form on last his Flat run. 

Dinard Rose

Trainer: Nina Walsh Jockey: A. J. Slattery Age: 5 Weight: 9st 0lbs

She was a course and distance winner in July, who faced a stiff task and was tailed off in Loughbrown Stakes at this course and distance(good to soft, 200/1) 14 days ago.

Presto

Trainer: Oliver McKiernan Jockey: Declan McDonogh Age: 6 Weight: 9st 0lbs

He turned in his best effort of the season when seventh of 23 in handicap at Leopardstown (12.8f, good, 33/1) 29 days ago. He is up in trip here and a visor is on for first time.

My Sister Sarah

Trainer: W. P. Mullins Jockey: Ben Martin Coen Age: 7 Weight: 8st 13lbs

The mare was a useful winner at 3m over hurdles and a respectable eighth at Galway (22.8f, good) 72 days ago, despite being unable to sustain effort. She ran creditably on last Flat outing and remains low mileage in this sphere.
