There may be a bit more to come from the unexposed Little By Little on her handicap/all-weather debut. Meanwhile Iron Sherriff comes into this in better form than most having got off the mark at Beverley last time, but MELGATE MAJEURE is taken to record a fifth course success. He showed a bit more here last time and has dropped 1lb below his last winning mark. Oot Ma Way looks best of the rest.

Oisin Murphy’s ride Meadow Sprite was making steady headway when hampered on her recent handicap debut and remains unexposed, but the answer might be PADDY ELLIOTT. He posted two good efforts over course and distance last month and is now slightly lower in the weights. Thriller’s Moon went close when upped to today’s trip on turf three weeks ago and is next on the list.

Sea King and Noonie have shown enough to think a similar race could fall their way, but FREEDOM CHARTER shaped nicely on his debut and he could take a sizeable step forward with the experience behind him.

18:50 Boy In The Bar

Being out of a four-time all-weather winner, there is a chance that Ireland’s Eye may improve for this new surface, while the unexposed Lucayan has shown enough this summer to suggest she can play a part. However, this may be best left to the veteran BOY IN THE BAR who beat Lucayan at Yarmouth last month having previously chased home a subsequent winner over this course and distance.

Sequeira Lady and Kape Moss are newcomers of interest, while Foxy Rascal should leave her disappointing debut run behind her in time. Brazilian Beach should go well back at 6 furlongs, but EL HADEEYAH brings solid nursery form into the contest and she may be able to defy her penalty.

Secret Daay is respected after his front-running third in a course and distance nursery two weeks ago, but ACKLAM GOLD was an eye-catching fourth after a slow start in that race and he may be able to turn the tables with his old rival and come out on top this time.

Both Enraged and Angels Tale look interesting on their step up to this trip, while there are several nursery newcomers who need checking in the market including Ann Duffield’s filly Miss Demeanour.

Several have possibilities, but the one that appeals most is the progressive BRAZEN BOLT (NAP) – who has won twice over course and distance recently and went close off today’s mark in his hat-trick bid at Thirsk last Monday.

Tamaska kicked on again with his success at Doncaster last time and he’s feared most, though Nat Love was a close third behind the selection here 18 days ago and is a big player if he can back that up. Others to consider are Distinction and Tinochio.
