13:00 Azure Blue
Newcomers Marhaba The Champ and Kanzino will do well to trouble form picks AZURE BLUE and Forgivable, who should both improve for this extra furlong. The filly was second in an above-average maiden at Carlisle last time, and she was probably a shade unlucky not to have won it.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:35 Straits Of Moyle
Locke is an uncomplicated colt who won well at Windsor, but the other penalised runner might be the way to go. Comfortable Carlisle winner STRAITS OF MOYLE seems to be raising his game with each run. Lethal Levi is preferred of the remainder, with Cotai Class and Kendred Fire also up the pecking order.
14:10 Geocentric
Project Dante holds leading claims on his Norfolk effort, but he’s been absent for 10 weeks and there are some interesting alternatives, notably GEOCENTRIC who ran well behind a good stablemate last time and should have more to offer. A few others also have respectable Listed/Group form, while Ernest Rutherford and Peggy Sioux are very promising.
14:45 White Lavender
The vote goes to WHITE LAVENDER, who finished really well at Tipperary last month and should be suited by this return to an extended 5 furlongs. She has raced only five times and looks open to further improvement.
The progressive Tweet Tweet is second choice, ahead of Teresa Mendoza and Operatic. Dandalla would be interesting granted her ideal ground, while a few others also have possibilities in a competitive Listed race.
15:20 Call Me Ginger
The Jim Goldie-trained CALL ME GINGER (NAP) has hit form and, having been tricky to win with previously, can complete a hat-trick today having done it cosily at Doncaster last time. True Mason has been showing promising signs this season and could be the chief danger, ahead of Danzan who has performed highly creditably in big-field handicaps this year.
The return to Ayr could be a plus for two-time course and distance winner Pearl Of Qatar and she’s an interesting each-way candidate. Ventura Express and Pockley are others to consider.
15:55 Prince Imperial
Preference is for the steadily progressive four-year-old PRINCE IMPERIAL, who ran creditably in a stronger race at the Ebor festival last month. Second choice is Lucky Deal who, like the selection, drops back in grade. Let Me Be and Haveyoumissedme are impossible to dismiss.
16:30 Bankawi
Fae The Port still has potential and needs monitoring in the market on his return to action. Merricourt, Bavardages Tilsitt and King Of Tonga all have something to recommend them, but BANKAWI is well treated on this season’s best form and could be the answer.
17:00 Tahonta
Executing hold-up tactics here can prove troublesome and although there should be a good pace to aim, it may not suit the otherwise appealing Motarajel. Clay Regazzoni and Ron O can go well, while Twilight Prince has possibilities on this first crack at 1m, but the blinkers had a positive effect on TAHONTA at Thirsk last time and he may be able to build on that effort today.
