13:30 Buoyant

An opening BHA mark of 80 could well underestimate BUOYANT, who has been unlucky to bump into above-average sorts on his last two starts at Ascot and Salisbury. He started odds-on for his latest start but did nothing wrong, just unable to match a promising newcomer, and he’s well fancied to make successful nursery debut. Top Exhibit proved well suited by the step up to six furlongs when scoring at Ffos Las last time and is another who could have more to offer.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:05 Wajd

WAJD shaped with a good deal of promise when runner-up on her debut at Newmarket 19 days ago, showing signs of greenness in the early stages but finishing with running left at the finish once the penny dropped. That form has substance to it with the third winning next time and she is taken to progress past the standard setter Tippy Toes, who has been off since May but can give another good account.

14:40 Ingleton

The ones with experience don’t set an exacting standard in this maiden and it looks cherry ripe for a newcomer, with the Charlie Appleby-trained INGLETON put forward before the benefit of market clues. He cost 800,000 guineas as a yearling and is the first foal of a mare who was closely related to top-class Fame And Glory, so there is plenty to like about him on paper. Mighty Ulysses, Australian Harbour and Caesar’s Palace all make appeal on paper too and require close market scrutiny.

15:15 Prince Alex

A useful handicap where PRINCE ALEX is taken to remain unbeaten for Michael Bell having displayed a good attitude at Goodwood last time. He was prolific last year, completing a five-timer on his final start, and was seemingly invigorated by a change of scenery to record his most notable win to date last time. Prince Alex is now up to a career-high mark and can have too much for The Trader, who lurks on a dangerous mark and ran better than for a while at Haydock 12 days ago.

15:50 Topanticipation

TOPANTICIPATION remains a maiden, but found only a well-treated rival too strong at York 11 days ago and looks poised to go one better from an unchanged mark. She proved as good as ever on that occasion, sent for home some way out but headed inside the final furlong when she began to tire. A more patient ride may see her to better effect and she is capable of winning races from this mark. Future and Crystal Starlet are handicap debutantes for top yards and head the opposition.

Yarmouth

16:25 Mango Boy

MANGO BOY boasts some tidy form in novice company and remains one to be interested in now heading into handicaps off what appears a fair opening mark. He was well backed when runner-up at Ripon last time and should have even more to offer on just his fourth career start. The dangers are headed by Titian, who is from a smart family and could still do better, and Forest Falcon, who is respected up 5 lb for a cosy success at Carlisle.

17:00 Natural Path

NATURAL PATH produced easily his best run in Britain when a decisive winner at Lingfield three weeks ago, leading up against the near-side rail two furlongs from home and readily asserting. He remains unexposed at sprint trips and looks the one to beat despite a 6 lb rise. Dean Ivory saddles Yimou and Dancinginthewoods and they look the main threats.
