Lots of guesswork, given none of these have raced before. It was on this card last year that Aidan O’Brien sent out newcomers High Definition and Wordsworth to finish 1-2 in a maiden and his two runners this time around make plenty of appeal, with preference for SCRIPTWRITER over Sussex. Though entitled to need the experience, Benitoite is interesting as one of five fillies Jessica Harrington has entered for the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes, while Eclat De Lumiere has a lovely pedigree but may need further to be seen at her best in time. King X J and Better Not Bitter are also interesting.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

16:55 HMS Endeavour

There should be plenty of improvement to come from the Ballydoyle runner HMS ENDEAVOUR as a result of his introductory third at Naas. He may prove more effective at this trip than Craic At Dawn who tackled 7f first time out at this venue. Ecoutez chased home a useful sort in a barrier trial at Dundalk and can be expected to be competitive with that experience under her belt.

17:30 Duke De Sessa

This is a red-hot maiden, one which Aidan O’Brien has dominated in the last deade. He is double-handed with Anchorage and Bluegrass who both have claims, while Swan Bay is sure to be popular following his near-miss in a 7f maiden here 13 days ago. The vote goes to DUKE DE SESSA, though, despite the fact he was behind Anchorage at Galway. He flew home down the outside and might turn out to be the most talented colt in that contest. Granted natural improvement from first to second start, the Dermot Weld-trained colt should be hard to beat.

18:05 Agartha (NAP)

There was certainly nothing wrong with Concert Hall’s attitude when rallying to land a C&D maiden, but she might find AGARTHA (nap) too hot to handle here. It would be foolish to think the selection stole the Silver Flash as she was in complete command at the line and she is fancied to continue her upward trajectory here. Discoveries is a full-sister to Alpha Centauri and deserves respect as does Twinkle who was awarded that infamous Galway maiden last month.

18:40 Point Lonsdale

POINT LONSDALE is the best Ballydoyle juvenile we have seen this season and it would be a big setback for the team if he cannot provide Aidan O’Brien with a 14th win in the race, a fifth in six years. The Chesham winner is already as short as 7-1 for next year’s 2,000 Guineas and looked the real deal in the Tyros last time. He can make it four from four with the minimum of fuss. Stablemate The Acropolis might be the one to chase him home, although Point Gellibrand looks smart.

19:10 Party House

Irish Oaks also-ran PARTY HOUSE may be equal to the task on her handicap debut. French Fusion is another whose sights are lowered, and could pose a threat along with the lightly-raced Leopardstown maiden winner Kazakdaria and smart bumper performer Me Too Please. The progressive Merroir could not be ruled out.

19:40 Heavenly Power

A promising second behind a well-fancied stablemate over 5f here on his second start, HEAVENLY POWER is tipped to confirm form with Notoriously Risky and Swift Flight who are more exposed. The 83-rated Mickey The Steel rates a danger, especially if the ground eases. Princess Plumeria will go close if reproducing the form of the first of two Dundalk races.

20:10 Collective Power

This looks open but it may be worth siding with COLLECTIVE POWER who can be expected to improve from his seasonal debut at Cork. Recent course 6f winner Ever Rock and Indian Raj, who shaped really well with a long-priced Naas second, head the list of dangers. Several of these have dropped in the ratings this season, and Eleuthera is arguably the most interesting one in that category.
