Shouldavbeenmore has run well in Listed and Group 3 races the last twice and possesses the best form in this line-up, but the selection is the well-bred INVIGILATE who can be expected to improve upon her promising debut fifth now up in trip. Giria and Intriguing Lady are other interesting once-raced candidates, while Lady Caroline has solid form, but Shouldavbeenmore is feared most.

There’s a good chance Ffion will bounce straight back from the first disappointing run of her career at Ascot last month but narrow preference is for FOOLS RUSH IN. Tom Dascombe’s charge is undoubtedly in deeper than when scoring in a small field at Haydock a fortnight ago but he’s well drawn for a front-runner and won’t be inconvenienced however much rain arrives. Titan Rock and course specialist Revich are also on the shortlist.
14:10 Morando
A good Chester record makes MORANDO the one to beat in this Listed contest. Any rain would make the ground an unknown for Dancing King so fellow 3yo Yesyes, who should have more to come at this trip, is put up as the chief threat. Inchicore would also enter the reckoning should the ground soften considerably.
14:45 Little Miss Dynamo
The outside stall could make it tougher for LITTLE MISS DYNAMO (nap) to dominate in the same manner as at Ripon last time but she could be useful and still looks the one to beat. Sadmah found a Newmarket Group 2 all too much on her second start but she should find this a bit easier and give Tom Dascombe’s filly most to do.
15:20 Barbill
With the likes of Jabbarockie, Mountain Brave, King Of Stars and Wrenthorpe all established front-runners, this seems sure to be strongly run, so it may be best to focus on those likely to stalk the pace. Sunday Sovereign seems to be gradually getting there for Tim Easterby and, with this trip looking as though it will suit, he has to be respected especially if the forecast rain has materialised. However, the vote goes to BARBILL who has the plum draw on the rails, just as he did when successful from 6lb higher on his only visit to this track, over 6f a year ago. He won’t mind what the weather does and may also get a boost from the first-time blinkers.

15:50 Batraan
Provided there isn’t too much rain – his limited turf form is on good and good to firm – the in-form BATRAAN should take the beating from the inside draw and make it 3-5 under Gavin Ashton. There is always the chance that the return to this venue could see a better effort from C&D winner Lost My Sock but the best alternative may be Bert Kibbler. He should appreciate the return to a turning track and could be hard to catch if establishing an early advantage.
16:20 Mancini
The 2019 winner Overhaugh Street bids to take this race again and is 3lb lower now, but his record does suggest that this first start in 292 days may be needed. A few of these have stamina to prove, including the 3yo Solent Gateway but he has shaped like a stayer and has the form to figure. However, it may be worth siding with MANCINI who takes a significant drop in class and is now 2lb below his last winning mark. He has hinted on a couple of occasions this year that he remains capable of going well.
