THE THUNDERER is still very much unexposed at this sort of trip, so he’s taken to follow up his course and distance win last month and defy a 6lbs rise. Yankee Stadium is on a fair mark and can provide the main threat ahead of Angel On High – who perhaps found conditions too testing at Salisbury last time.

TWILIGHT SONG was third in a better race at Newmarket last time and looks nicely treated based on past exploits, so he’s preferred to Solomons Judgement, who also arrives in good order. Eyes looks the pick of the remaining trio.

The vote goes to ROCKESBURY, who put in good late work when going close off this mark over 6 furlongs here last week. On that evidence this step back up in trip will be very much in his favour.
Shackabooah is the clear main danger following his Beverley success, for which he’s been raised just 1lb. Racy Stacey improved when third on her penultimate start at Redcar and she makes some each-way appeal.
16:25 Flibbertigibbet
There was over 4 lengths back to the third when FLIBBERTIGIBBET was narrowly denied over course and distance last Wednesday, so she’s fancied to go one better turned out again quickly before the handicapper has his say. Fellow three-year-olds Dashing Dick and Sense of Humour arrive on the back of course and distance wins and can give George Margarson’s filly most to do.
