It wouldn’t be a normal week without a punter taking us to the cleaners and that happened again on Friday August 6th as one lucky punter managed to turn a £6 acca into a staggering £3,275 after their horse racing four fold landed.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Our winner – who hails from Abbots Langley, near Hertfordshire – predicted the outcome of two races at Thirsk and a couple at Brighton on Friday.
The stunning bet came in at 545/1 to make someone’s day, that’s for sure! Let’s tell you how it landed.
The first race our punter was focused on was the 13:50 at Brighton. Our lucky winner had backed SPREADSHEET (9/2). The Jim Boyle-trained gelding took the lead in the final furlong to beat Jack Ryan by a length.
Attention then turned to Linda Perratt’s NODSASGOODASAWINK in the 14:10 at Thirsk, who set off at 12/1. The three-year-old started slowly but made her way through the field and eventually won by two and a quarter lengths. That result brought our bold punt half-way home.

Next up was the 14:25 contest at Brighton, where our punter was desperate for the favourite WONDERFUL WORLD (13/8) to handle business. David Probert was on board for Mick Channon as he eased into the lead at around two furlongs out and went on to win by four and a quarter lengths.
Finally, our cute customer was left with MR TREVOR in the 14:45 at Thirsk, who went off at 9/2. He pushed on with one furlong left and edged out Kats Bob.
That meant our lucky punter scooped the £3,275 prize pot. So, all we can do is welcome yet another lucky winner to our Punting Hall Of Fame!
