13:00 – Find
It is hard to see beyond the well-bred FIND, who built on his debut promise when finishing runner-up to subsequent July Stakes winner Lusail at Newmarket last month. That was a useful effort and the form has taken a further boost with the third winning next time, too, so he should be able to land likely short odds before moving on to even better things. Bell Shot can put his debut experience to good use and follow the selection home, with Sausalito making the most appeal of the newcomers on paper.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:35 – Reach For The Moon
REACH FOR THE MOON could be one of the best two-year-old maidens in training following his second-place finish to the very well regarded Point Lonsdale in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and he is very hard to oppose on that form. Reach For The Moon was coltish and green beforehand, so is clearly still learning on the job, and one of the newcomers will have to be smart to stop him going one place better down in class. Dawn of Liberation looks the pick of the unraced bunch.
14:10 – Banshee
There are some well-bred newcomers on show here but preference is for BANSHEE, who exceeded market expectations when finishing third on debut at Goodwood five weeks ago, having to pick her way through the pack and far from knocked about. She is bred to stay further than this trip, but that run will surely have put an edge on her and she is taken to take a big step forward now. Of those with experience, Helene and Majestic Glory look the main dangers.
14:45 – Maytal
MAYTAL is bred to be smart, and she did well to open her account in a seven-runner maiden at Haydock last time, again not suited by the emphasis on speed despite the longer trip. She didn’t have to improve on that occasion, but she remains with a bigger performance in her locker, especially now having her stamina drawn out further, and an opening mark of 85 shouldn’t be beyond her. Golden Bugle showed a good attitude to hold off her three market rivals at Doncaster and is another to note.

15:20 – Bosh
Another up-to-scratch renewal of this listed prize on paper, with BOSH taken to come out on top again stepped up in grade. There was plenty to like about his latest success over course and distance under a penalty and he looks the type to go on improving for a while yet, so is expected to take this step up in class in his stride. Caturra and Bond Chairman both posted pleasing efforts at Royal Ascot and are also big players.
15:55 – Flyin Solo
FLYIN’ SOLO has been improving as his stamina has been drawn out so far this season and, given little went his way at Windsor last time, he’s well worth a chance to regain the winning thread back up in trip and back on a more conventional track. Three-year-olds Saligo Bay and Oz Legend are unlikely to have reached their limit yet, so they can be regarded as the main threats in a competitive event.
16:30 – St Georges Bay
ST GEORGE’S BAY was never in the hunt on his recent handicap debut at Windsor, but he’s clearly thought capable of a good deal better given his strength in the market on that occasion, and can be expected to leave that form well behind back on a faster surface. Ed Walker’s charge gets the nod ahead of the hat-trick seeking Marselan, who remains on a feasible mark and is clear next best ahead of Sunset and recent course and distance winner Goodwood Glen.
17:05 – Sir Roderic
SIR RODERIC is better than this mark despite his advancing years, a point underlined by a good second at Chepstow a week ago. If he’s in the same form, he should take all the beating, although last-time-out course and distance winner Deputy is a clear threat along with Global Esteem.
