Plenty of these have shown promise last time, without bringing any great form claims. Top of the list is therefore ABBIE POWER, whose form reads best of all at these weights after her debut at Hamiliton, ahead of Bolton Abbey who left a good impression with his win at Brighton. Prince Kendeux may be the most interesting newcomer.

13:35 – Joeyremy

Vieux Carre is likely to make a bold bid once more but in JOEYREMY she meets a rival with plenty of potential after a promising debut over C&D four weeks ago. George Boughey’s Made In Brockley is the most interesting of the newcomers on paper.

14:10 – Dont Joke

The answer to a low-grade affair could be DON’T JOKE who has been runner-up in two of his last four starts. The main dangers could be Kayfast Warrior and Socru in that order.

14:45 – Forza Orta

Yojaari won well here last time and, upped in trip, should give a good account under a penalty. He needs to improve against Zagato, the form horse, however, and concentrating on that pair risks overlooking FORZA ORTA, who is taken to step up on a promising debut at Carlisle. That form has been franked and he is taken to go one better. Shomoukh looks the most interesting newcomer.

15:20 – Brazen Prince

Magical Effect ticks several boxes if able to show that his latest run was a blip and he could again go close, while Medicine Jack makes the shortlist now that he is returning to a more suitable trip. Proud Archi is not discounted but the suggestion is BRAZEN PRINCE, who is unexposed, looks to be on a handy mark and is also well drawn. He is taken to make a winning reappearance.

15:55 – Commanche Falls

Despite reservations about stall 1, COMMANCHE FALLS is again the one to beat after continuing his rise through the ranks with a narrow success at Ripon that masked his superiority. Rathbone is another who has been better than ever of late and rates the main danger, while Gale Force Maya, Wentworth Falls, Seas Of Elzaam and Thegreatestshowman are others with chances in a competitive sprint.

16:30 – Kodikova

Arnold should be making a big impact in races at this level but he is very hard to win with and it may pay to look elsewhere. Singe Anglais is interesting back sprinting, while Royal Prospect looked ready to revive at Carlisle last time and Plastic Paddy should be capable of better for his new yard. KODIKOVA ran with great credit over C&D on her stable debut this month and she may be able to capitalise on this marked ease in grade.

17:00 – Wor Willie

Alambrista is bred to be useful and could take off for the extra 4f today but she was disappointing when favourite at Brighton last week and preference is for WOR WILLIE (nap), who looks a strong stayer and didn’t shape too badly behind a progressive type at Doncaster.
