Lawmans Blis couldn’t quite seal the issue over this trip at Sandown last time, finishing a close second which still requires a lot of respect, but he is probably vulnerable to further improvement from ALERTA ROJA who scored with a bit more authority that the margin suggests on her handicap debut. Coldstream is third on the list.
14:35 Seneca Chief (NAP)
Low mileage for his age, having missed well over two years, SENECA CHIEF (nap) ran right up to his best back from seven months off at Sandown recently and makes most appeal off the same mark. Kingsholm, who showed he can do it over this trip on the AW last autumn, is an obvious danger, having also run close to his best on his recent comeback.
15:10 French Red
The leading contenders are generally lightly raced, which makes this more appealing than many 0-50s, the list being headed by FRENCH RED, who showed much more on his recent handicap debut and who’s a rare runner in these parts for his Scottish trainer. La Roca Del Fuego could progress further if learning to settle.

Eastern Star and Tavrina (preferred in that order) should both be on the premises but the former is a quirky customer and latter may be reliant on a strong gallop over today’s trip. Perhaps the answer might be the unexposed 3yo BERYL THE PERIL, who lost ground at the start and was denied a clear run at a crucial stage when midfield over C&D on her recent handicap debut. Granted better luck today, she has a bigger run in her.
16:20 Imperial Yellow
Last summer’s Listed third has been well advertised since and IMPERIAL YELLOW remains open to further improvement upped from 6f if settling better this time. Fellow 3yo Inveigle, who shouldn’t mind the drop back in trip, has to prove he’s as effective on turf as Polytrack but still rates the main danger.
16:53 Bint Dandy
The King’s Steed is the glaring candidate in his hat-trick bid but the handicapper has responded to his quick-fire double last month. Roca Magica, Raajihah and Shyjack have been competitive here this season, while Spanish Mane was last term but a chance might also be taken on the veteran BINT DANDY on this return to turf.
