Horse Racing Tips: A magnificent 7 picks for Bellewstown on Tuesday

Seven best bets, including a NAP, for Bellewstown today from The Racing Post.

15:40 L’Un Deux Trois

A maiden hurdle which may not take too much winning. L’UN DEUX TROIS shaped nicely in a stronger Limerick maiden in June before going down narrowly on the flat at Leopardstown and could prove the one to beat here, though Arakan Quest rates a big threat on his form last winter, and Futurum Regem has to be respected.

16:10 Hand In My Pocket (NAP)

Winner of a bumper here last month, HAND IN MY POCKET (nap) showed enough on her recent hurdles debut at Galway to suggest she could now be hard to beat over this sharper track. That experience could give her the edge over the other bumper winner in the field, Jimmy Jimmy, while any market support for hurdling newcomer Crecerelle should be noted.

16:40 Bon Retour

An opening mark of 121 proved no barrier for French recruit BON RETOUR on her Irish debut at Galway and this looks a good opportunity of a follow-up win. The handicapper now has her 10lb superior to Telmesomethinggirl, although that could well prove an overestimation as Henry de Bromhead’s mare looks the type to improve with more experience. Ellie Mac is quite exposed at this stage but nonetheless looks assured of at least minor prize money.

17:10 Dragon Houdini

Magic Sea ran far better than his final position suggests at Galway and now fitter for the run, he could be one to have on your side. Resurrected Duke came home strongly in second at Ballinrobe yesterday, intimating this longer trip will suit and warrants respect if turning out again. There should be good each-way value to be had here all the same and one that nicely fits the bill at a price is DRAGON HOUDINI. The ground was probably too testing for this former Navan winner the last twice, and her local connections are likely to have had an eye on this for a while now.

17:40 DOLLAR VALUE

The locally trained DOLLAR VALUE could be difficult to peg back if he slips the field early around such a tight track, but with Humm Baby now a non runner, Rhythm Divine should also take high rank.

18:15 Mister Fogpatches

Very competitive, with narrow preference for MISTER FOGPATCHES on the back of a good comeback run at Ballinrobe over slightly further. Major threats loom in the likes of Top Of The Charts, Lord Lariat, Royal Aide and Freewheelin Dylan, to name a few.

18:45 Not What It Seems

Quite likely a case of third time lucky for NOT WHAT IT SEEMS, having chased home a potentially smart type at Tramore last time. Not much between the selection’s main dangers, Sonny John, Reverse Polarity and Erins Benefit.
