Our trader Ryan McCue’s gone through the cards to give you his three best bets in Irish racing today at the Curragh and Tramore. We’ve brought them to you here, and you can full the full video below. But without further ado, onto those treasured tips.
14:30 at the Curragh – Delphi
A double header of Irish action today with a good Flat card at the Curragh including a St Leger trial and jumps action at Tramore.
DELPHI wouldn’t have been mentioned as a potential Leger horse last year but comes into this race having stepped forward with each run last season and steps up another two furlongs in trip.
Aidan O’Brien’s runner has won his last three starts and receives weight from all bar one of his rivals. Despite stepping up in class, there’s reasons to oppose his market rivals and he’s my selection.
17:15 at Tramore – Island Master
Willie Burke’s ISLAND MASTER is a really likeable 11-year old who has finished twice over fences around Tramore in the past. He drops down in class to a 0-95 handicap but has to shoulder top weight.
He had a pipe-opener at Killarney and Rachael Blackmore takes the ride and he looks a solid each-way bet with not too many well fancied contenders in this contest.
19:15 at Tramore – Stylish Moment (NAP)
The 2m 4f handicap hurdle features my nap of the day, STYLISH MOMENT. Eoin Doyle’s runner is rated 15lb lower over hurdles then he is over fences.
He finished fourth at Galway to Bua Boy on his last run and the winner, fifth (Thousand Tears) and sixth (Ashqar), have all subsequently won, so the form has a solid look to it.
Trainer Eoin Doyle has had plenty of winners at Tramore over the years and Stylish Moment can add to it today.
