Fancy Blue lived up to the hype, winning the Nassau Stakes in controlled and impressive style under Ryan Moore for Donnacha O’Brien, despite a late push from One Voice who chased her all the way to the post. It was a pulsating finish on a beautiful day in West Sussex which saw a 50/1 winner, Mogul returning to form and English King disappointing.

13.10 Mirabeau En Provence Handicap 5f (1.10pm) – Glamorous Anna
Glamorous Anna fought her way to the inside rail and powered forward from a commanding position. None of her rivals had any answer to that charge and she extended her lead in the final furlong before just easing off at the line. Newyorkstateofmind was second ahead of Show Me Show Me and Electric Ladyland.
13.45 Unibet You’re On Handicap 1m2f (1.45pm) – Junkanoo
Junkanoo pounced to take a hotly-contested race at a very handy SP of 50/1 down the inside, carving through the field late on for a well-deserved win. Zabeel Champion was next best from a tight chasing pack ahead of Al Salt and Luigi Vampa.
14.15 Qatar Richmond Stakes 6f (2.15pm) – Supremacy
Supremacy lived up to his name with a dominant display here, kicking about 3 furlongs out and extending that lead right up to the line at around 4 lengths. Yazaman struggled but rallied late on to take second once again from Lauded who ran well despite starting out wide.
14.45 John Pearce Racing Gordon Stakes 1m4f (2.45pm) – Mogul
Mogul roared round the outside for victory and a return to form under Ryan Moore. After disappointing on a number of outings recently, Aidan O’Brien’s Colt showed the speed and stamina required to get the job done in this one.
22/1 starter Highland Chief put in a good effort but didn’t have enough to fend off the winner while third-placed Subjectivist lead pretty much the whole way and threatened to drop off, but rallied and held on to third.
15.15 Qatar Nassau Stakes 1m2f (3.15pm) – Fancy Blue
Fancy Blue held off a brilliant charge from One Voice to take the 2020 Nassau Stakes by a neck. The pair powered away from the rest inside the final furlong and it was Fancy Blue’s class, speed and staying power that proved too much for Jess Harrington’s impressive 20/1 challenger. Nazeef came strong late to pip Queen Power in third.
15.45 Gusbourne Nursery Handicap 7f (3.45pm) – Mark Of The Man
Mark Of The Man flew past Monza City and William Bligh in the final half furlong to romp home by a length in an impressive showing. Favourite William Bligh had looked in decent shape but didn’t have the gas to stay on and really challenge while 22/1 SP Monza City ran well but couldn’t resist the winner. Balavad was fourth at a nice 40/1.
16.20 British European Breeders Fund EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes 7f (4.20pm) – Spirit Of Bermuda
Spirit Of Bermuda was fastest in a pulsating second-to-last race at Glorious Goodwood on day three. William Haggas’s horse had to dig deep to keep Iconic Queen at bay following a photo finish. After them, and very much in the hunt, were Great Vibes and Teodolina with not much to separate the top four.
16.55 Tatler Nursery Handicap 5f (4.55pm) – Acklam Express
Acklam Express absolutely bolted home in today’s closer. Winter Power showed early and looked in a good spot at halfway but faded to fourth while Aclam Express just got better and better as the furlongs counted down. Different Face couldn’t handle the winner and was some way back with Rebel At Dawn to finished well.
