Horse Racing Tips: Best bets for EVERY race on Thursday's at Sandown

16:20 AGENT SHIFTWELL

Agent Shiftwell comes into today’s meeting off the back of an impressive run at Yarmouth last week finishing second of seven. He’ll be racing off the same mark today and will be in a good position to go one better. Dark Silver will provide a tough challenge if he’s in top form.

16:55 THIRD KINGDOM

Third Kingdom’s experience will be the key today in a very inexperienced field. The 2yo may have only raced once at Newcastle earlier this month, but he will be surrounded by a sea of debutants. One Ruler will be making his racecourse debut today, along with Flyin’ High, Hafez and Thunder Sun, and Third Kingdom will have learned from a third-placed finish at Newcastle to go well here today.

17:25 AMERICAN ENTENTE

American Entente ran well at Salisbury earlier this month in her debut, securing a third-place finish. She wasn’t given too much of a challenge, but should benefit from having more competition today. Derdas enjoyed the quicker conditions and could put up a fight, while debutant Ajyaall, half-sister to Signs Of Blessing, is well fancied.

17:55 GYPSY WHISPER

Gypsy Whisper had a good run at Newbury just over two weeks ago, coming fourth in a close-run race. Enjoys the 7f length, having won at Lingfield Park last summer. She’s running in a slightly lower grade than at Newbury, but will be in a good position to go three better today.

18:30 NIRODHA

Nirodha is running a slightly weaker race than her last outing, having finished fourth in the same distance at Newmarket. She won two turf novice races last summer, as well as a fourth-place finish at Wolverhampton late last year. At Newmarket in June she hung left, and will need to watch her positioning today, but will wear a visor today.

19:00 INDIGO LAKE

This race features only six runners, which could give an advantage to Indigo Lake. Last time out at Haydock Park he ran a good race and was denied a win as he wasn’t allowed a clear run. The 3yo will likely enjoy the longer distance today. Won at Doncaster last month in another thin line-up of just five runners.

19:30 SONGKRAN

Songkran has a busy field to compete with, as there will be 16 other horses on track. The 4yo is in superb form, having won three on the bounce this month going into today’s race. Finished second at Newmarket last month to set up a hat-trick of wins, and will be fancied to make it four on the spin today for his new stable.

20:00 TAO TE CHING

Tao Te Ching, 3yo, is still yet to finish in the top three but had two strong runs in her first two runs. She’ll be making her third start today, and will want to build on a sixth-place and fourth-place finish in her first two outings. She’ll have cheekpieces on, but will be up against it with Rock Of Fame also looking strong after two straight second-place finishes.
