14:30 Blue Cabochon @ 2/1
Mahaaseel will be strongly fancied to go one better than at Fairyhouse last time, but BLUE CABOCHON looks to have the stronger form and can get the better of that rival.
The selection was in front of a below-par Hyde Park Barracks last time, but the latter is still a danger, as is Tammany Hall while Ablah is a very interesting newcomer.
15:00 Shooting Spirit
Ecclesiastical has the strongest form, courtesy of his excellent run at Navan but that was only three days ago and SHOOTING SPIRIT is given another chance on this faster surface after flattering to deceive on soft ground at Navan last time.
The selection’s stablemate Lord McZie should have improved from his seasonal debut.
15:30 Dark Pine
A weak maiden in which DARK PINE (NAP) should be a formality on ratings. Bestrella is the main danger, while Royal Casamento is respected.
16:00 La Novia @ 15/2
Leanne Breen has done a decent job in rekindling horses, especially at this track, and LA NOVIA could bolster the rookie trainer’s record. She had a luckless passage at Fairyhouse, but advertised her wellbeing.
Switching back to a surface in which she thrives on, she should go close. Rockview Empress is interesting on her handicap debut and Dark Magic is obvious.
16:30 Rain Or Shine
A change in tactics worked a treat for RAIN OR SHINE at Fairyhouse and, even off this revised mark, she should be capable of running another big race.
Tynamite is an open book, Neyland is more than capable of winning one of these and the top weight Eacharn acts well around here. It’s wide open.
17:00 Lady De Vesci
Cache Queen is a very solid performer and looks sure to run well, but running at the Curragh on Friday may have taken the edge off her.
Our preference is for LADY DE VESCI who loves it here, but has also been running with credit on turf lately. Glory, Dromod Lad and Calidus Mirabilis can go well.
17:30 Monarch Of Egypt
A sub-standard renewal, which is hardly a great surprise. There might be a stamina doubt about MONARCH OF EGYPT, but his class should see him through.
The filly Siamese will love the surface and Indicative Vote is open to improvement, but they shouldn’t trouble the top horse.
18:00 Marmolata
Though unfancied on her recent debut for the Emmet Mullins yard, MARMOLATA ran better than her finishing position, having been hampered, and should be primed to run a big race today.
Pempie can run well also after an encouraging start for her new yard but has a wide draw to overcome, while Wild Shot loves it here and is sure to go well, as does Rockview Roman. Followme Followyou is a frustrating maiden but goes well here too.
