Limerick 14:10 – Coill Na Sionainne
A massive eye-catcher on his last start two weeks ago at this track over a mile, after being poorly positioned at the back of the field turning in, before staying on really strongly under just hands and heels riding. I would urge you to watch the video of the race and you will see that Coill Na Sionainne this horse is definitely capable of winning a handicap off a mark of 53.
The drop in trip to six and a half furlongs is a bit of a worry today, but if he is ridden more positively by Mark Gallagher he can outrun his odds.
Windsor 16:20 – Arafi
This mile handicap looks wide open and I’m going to take a chance on Richard Hannon’s Arafi being well handicapped off a mark of 67. She made a really nice debut at Chelmsford over seven furlongs conceding experience to all those around her, despite getting a very wide trip.
She didn’t really improve on her second start, but it is likely that the fibresand surface at Southwell wasn’t to her liking and she wasn’t disgraced in fourth in a fair maiden there. This race is full of unexposed types but I she could be on a nice mark and Rossa Ryan is riding with plenty of confidence at the moment also. Paddy is paying 4 places and there has been market support this morning.
