Saturday 21:22 Thistledown – Established (Each-Way) @ 9/2
With Kentucky Derby points up for grabs, this year’s Ohio Derby has attracted a decent field of three-years-olds headed by Storm The Court who has managed to run into Nadal, Honor AP and Authentic already.
I’m going for ESTABLISHED, who is drawn just on his inside, and with only two runs under his belt, he has already recorded the highest speed figure in the race despite being bumped early last time out and using up a lot of gas in the early stages.
With Established being very unexposed, having plenty of early pace and getting 6lbs from Storm The Court he looks to have a lot in his favour here.

Sunday 14:50 Saint-Cloud – Way To Paris
This is a strong contender for one of the worst Group 1 races ever run, but someone has to win. It looks fairly straight forward tactically with Ziyad likely to lead from Old Persian and the other three in behind.
The front two can be keen travellers throughout their races and I’m hoping this could lead to WAY TO PARIS getting an ideal passage into the race. He finished a very close second behind Sottsass over a shorter trip last time and arguably should have won.
The time before he put in a very impressive run in the home straight going against the pace of the race and putting in a very quick closing time. At the age of seven he’s in the form of his life, and the step back up to a mile and half can only suit.
There’s plenty of doubts about Old Persian’s form outside of Meydan and this looks an ideal chance for Way To Paris to compensate for defeat in the Prix Ganay a fortnight ago.
