Cityzen Serg – 17:35 Kempton
Cityzen Serg shaped very well when beaten a nose at Wolverhampton in March, and strikes as the type that can show much-improved form now. That was a promising start, a lack of match practice perhaps the difference between winning and losing, up against a more experienced rival. Cityzen Serg sets the bar pretty high following that run, and represents a yard that have returned in good form.

Jellystone – 18:35 Kempton
Jellystone showed fairly useful form as a juvenile in 2019 but looked a much-improved model when winning a handicap at Yarmouth by seven and a half lengths last week. That was his first run since undergoing a gelding operation but looked well suited by the step up to middle distances, producing a dominant display even allowing for him having the run of the race. Connections have rightly turned him out under a penalty, and he looks ahead of his mark.

Vlannon – 19:05 Kempton
This looks wide open, but it could be worth chancing Vlannon could be the one to side with. He made little impact over hurdles last year but shaped well when hitting the frame at Lingifled returned to the Flat in March, beaten a length in fourth. On that evidence, this mark shouldn’t be beyond him, and he can go well after a break, so is fancied to outrun likely big odds.
