SUPER TWENTY FIVE has been the subject of a positive trainer change since her last start and is expected to post a much-improved showing for new connections. I’llmakeyousmile has an excellent strike rate at this track and could well emerge as one of the biggest threats, while Rattlesnakerose is also an interesting runner.

TIZ SAMURAI needs one to come out to get a run from the reserve list, but will take plenty of stopping if managing to draw in. A good second over further last time, the selection has more than enough early pace to cope with this drop back in trip and should get clear sailing from his outside post.
22:39 Santa Anita – Cistron @ 7/4
This is a cracking Grade 3 turf sprint, with narrow preference for CISTRON, who has won his last two starts and can bring up the hat-trick. Wildman Jack posted a career best at Meydan last time and should be right in the mix on that form.
23:12 Santa Anita – Sybil’s Kitty @ 10/3
SYBIL’S KITTY was trapped wide throughout from a poor draw last time and was still only beaten a length into fourth. She’s drawn much better this time and a fast recent workout suggests she remains in good heart. Real Good Deal may be the one to chase her home.

The long-striding UNITED is very smart at his best and he is taken to follow up his win last time in this Grade 2 contest. The Breeders’ Cup Turf runner-up has a bit in hand on this field at his best and ought to get the job done, perhaps at the chief expense of Chad Brown’s east coast raider Rockemperor.
