Cardiac Kid was in front of LIMETINI when they took minor honours over track and trip, but Todd Pletcher’s colt is less exposed and can improve past his rival in the first-time blinkers. Budget Buster could force his way into the thick of the action as well.
Macho D’oro beat Voicesinthedarknez to the runner-up berth over C&D, but maybe a chance can be taken that MONEY HOUSE shows sufficient improvement for the rise from 6f. Consilium has also shown enough ability to earn him a place on the shortlist too.
WELL BRUSH MYTOOTH was last seen struggling in a $100k stake at Aqueduct, but she has been freshened up and can take full advantage of having her sights lowered. Let’s Be Honest could be the primary threat, although Smitten For Smitty and My Sister’s Keeper aren’t out of it.
Upsy Daisy Do had Crystalina (third) and Amber Princess (fourth) in arrears when second over C&D in her latest run and is a leading player on that form. But, she has had plenty of chances and preference is for the less exposed WITCH HUNTER. She only missed out by a neck in a similar event here last month and there should be more to come.
The Mighty Judge and PROJECTED should both go well in search of a double, but the latter landed a more valuable event than this at Tampa and gets the nod with previous winning form here to his name. Philo and Hot And Heavy are others to consider.
GETTHE MUNY BERNIE made a debut full of promise when a good second here and is expected to come on for that run. He gets the nod to go one better today. There are no shortage of dangers though, most notably Ima Pharoah and War Detonator.
JADES GELLY got off the mark on her latest start here in January and is entitled to have improved again having since joined the powerful Wes Ward barn. Miami Crockett arrives in excellent form and has to be considered, while chances are also given to Legendary Prince and Remaster.
MYSTICAL MOON is holding his form admirably at present and looks the safe bet in this tricky claimer over the extended 1m. Verdict Is In has been knocking on the door and is noted, while Volubile should also be taken seriously.
Malibu Max has been running well in better races of late so has to be considered, but FRONT LOADED got within a nose of success here two weeks ago and has every chance if handling the extra furlong. Examiner is another to note.
Frenchmen Street had COOP TRIES HARDER behind when second here in March, but the latter got his revenge when he filled the runner-up spot last month and can confirm that latest effort in this. Pay Any Price holds Mai Ty One On from their meeting here in January and is another to consider.
A competitive test with plenty holding claims, so YOLANDA’S PRIDE is only a tentative selection. Steve Klesaris’ filly missed out by a neck over track and trip last time, having won well on her previous outing, and evidently remains on good terms with herself. Sun Summers and Dynatown have strong claims if fully wound up for this return, while Prospective Diva could go well if she stays this far.
