Mustaaqeem has only had four runs over hurdles, but he was a one-time classy horse on the Flat. He showed the benefit of running in handicaps last time out when finishing a close fifth off a mark of 78 at Stratford.
With that experience under his belt and the aid of jockey Sean Bowen tonight, he should be very competitive in this Novices’ Handicap Hurdle with trip and ground set to suit him.

Pacific De Baune had his first run after having a wind operation at Uttoxeter a month ago when running out a very good second on that occasion in a similar contest to this one.
He wears cheekpieces this evening and if that can bring out a little bit of improvement, along with the benefit of after having a run, he’s expected to go close here in the St Austell Brewery Handicap Chase.
