13:50 – Zabeel Champion
Zabeel Champion was very useful in top end handicaps last season. He won two at Newmarket on either track and also placed at Goodwood.
He needed his reappearance at Chelmsford. He won his next two at Ripon over 10f and 12f off 94 and 98.
This will be his fourth start in a month but Mojo’s horses thrive on racing and he might well be able to land the quick fire hat trick and follow up last year’s win in the race with Baghdad.

14:25 – Sea Karats
John Gosden has won this five times in the last eight years, so his Taslima has to be respected but she needs to improve on her debut second at Lingfield.
Sea Karats cost 500,000 Guineas and is a full sister to the very useful Al Aasy. She made her debut at Newbury a couple of weeks ago and was beaten a neck in third but didn’t get a clear run at all and really should have won, as the slow pace and sprint probably didn’t play to her strengths.
Haggas yard are in great form and seen a few bob for her for the Oaks this week.
15:40 – Thunder Beauty
This looks a particularly weak renewal this year and Santa Barbara is the one for cash the past month off the back of a maiden win at Curragh last September. Obviously connections know what they have but a lack of experience has to be a concern and would definitely put me off taking a short price. That gives the race a decent each way make up with the four places.
Thunder Beauty is the one I like and think is underestimated in the market. I got involved at the beginning of last week at the forfeit stage.
She was an impressive winner of a 6f Curragh maiden and that form looks strong now. Second Harannda is rated 85, third Palifico is rated 79 and fourth Allagar is rated 90. It just proves that it was a decent maiden and Thunder Beauty put them to the sword that day.
She was then pitched straight into Group 1 company for the Moyglare Stakes over 7f at the Curragh and was a never nearer fifth, beaten 3.5l behind Shale and Pretty Gorgeous. She was held up at the back and probably was value for finishing a little closer that day.
That form is among the strongest from last season, considering Pretty Gorgeous won the Fillies Mile.
Thunder Beauty then went to Longchamp on ARC weekend for the Grade 1 Prix Marcel Boussac. She was disgraced in seventh when getting bumped and the heavy ground probably didn’t suit her. She is better than that run with the race cutting up, I really do believe that she has been hugely underestimated in this market.
