12:33 – MOUNT WINDSOR
Returned better than ever this season, going one place better than on his reappearance when winning readily at Lingfield seven days ago. He travelled strongly and was always in control in the straight, ultimately being eased down to win by six lengths. This will be tougher under a 7 lb penalty, but Mount Windsor is hard to oppose if arriving in the same sort of form.
13:03 – GLENO
Showed a good attitude to get off the mark over fences at Lingfield last month, sticking to his task well under a positive ride. Most of his rivals here lack experience over fences, so he has the opportunity to put their jumping under pressure if being allowed to dictate matters in front. Gleno can defy a 6lb higher mark to follow up.
13:33 – GO CHIQUE
Appeals as the most interesting of the eight runners in a weak heat. Admittedly, she proved a big disappointment when only fifth on her hurdling debut at Market Rasen in September, but that was a much better race than it looked at the time, with a couple of useful performers finishing in the frame. Go Chique should improve with the experience under her belt and deserves another chance to confirm the promise she showed when winning her sole start in bumpers.
14:03 – HAPPYGOLUCKY
Made the perfect start to his chasing career when winning at Stratford three weeks ago, jumping soundly and staying on well to land the spoils by six and a half lengths. That form sets the standard in this line-up, so Happygolucky is strongly fancied to maintain his unbeaten record over the larger obstacles, especially as he may yet have more to offer.
14:33 – GETARIVER
Shaped better than the bare result when second on her most recent outing at Stratford, doing too much too soon and deserving plenty of credit under the circumstances for hanging around as long as she did. Still beaten only a length, Gertariver remains unexposed over hurdles and can prove herself on a good mark if conserving a bit more energy in the early stages.
15:03 – MUILEAN NA MADOG
Caught the eye when third on his first start for Dan Skelton at Lingfield, making his first appearance after a breathing operation and 613 days on the sidelines. He looked in command two out but emptied quickly on the run-in, ultimately passing the post seven lengths behind the winner. His tame finish was a bit alarming, but Muilean na Madog obviously entitled to come on for the run and looks well handicapped.
15:33 – ITALIAN LEGEND
Could be the way to go in a bumper limited to newcomers. The betting is likely to prove the best guide, but Italian Legend is related to plenty of winners under Rules and looks to have the most interesting credentials on paper, especially as trainer Nicky Henderson has sent out five winners from his last seven newcomers in this division.
