Del Mar is the setting for the latest edition of the global gathering that is the Breeders’ Cup.
The great and the good from across the world will meet at the San Diego racecourse for two days of rip-roaring racing on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.
City Of Troy has been the hype horse of the calendar year after bouncing back from 2000 Guineas disappointment to follow in the hoofsteps of Sea The Stars by winning the Derby, Eclipse and International – and a switch to dirt is on the cards for the son of Justify.
The Ballydoyle team have long dreamed of winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic and their star colt is set to take aim at the most-lucrative contest of the meeting.
The upcoming Breeders’ Cup is also set to be Big Evs’ final assignment before heading to stud as last year’s Juvenile Turf Sprint hero bids to follow up on American soil.
