When is the Derby 2024? Epsom date, start time, runners and betting

The Classic is calling!

Auguste Rodin wins the Epsom Derby from King Of Steel

The Derby at Epsom is the biggest race of the Flat season in Britain as the leading middle-distance three-year-olds bid to win the stallion-making contest.

It is the fourth Classic on the British calendar and typically features a big field of runners slugging it out over 12 furlongs on Epsom’s iconic and testing track.

Auguste Rodin justified the hype in last season’s renewal to reel in subsequent Group 1 winner King Of Steel in a thrilling finish. A new year means a new name will be added to the illustrious honours list.

You can run the rule over our Derby odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.
