Dubai World Cup 2024 race times for Saturday’s Meydan meeting

We've got you covered for the big showdown in Dubai.

Dubai World Cup 2023

One of the most glamorous events is back this weekend as attention turns to Meydan for the 2024 Dubai World Cup meeting.

It marks the end of the horse racing calendar in the UAE, with a huge prize fund of $30.5 million across the full nine-race schedule.

Taking place on Saturday, March 30, the highlight of the day is the $12 million Dubai World Cup itself, a Group 1 that is run over a distance of one mile and two furlongs on dirt.

The big race has drawn a quality field that includes last year’s winner Ushba Tesoro and this season’s Saudi Cup scorer Senor Buscador.

Only one horse has ever won the Dubai World Cup twice in a row – Thunder Snow in 2018 and 2019 – so can Ushba Tesoro join him in the exclusive club?

Irish eyes will be on the Dubai Sheema Classic, however, which proceeds the World Cup, as last year’s dual Derby hero Auguste Rodin makes his seasonal reappearance. A $6 million prize pot makes it one of the richest turf races in the world.

There are four more Group 1 races on the day and three Group 2 events, with a stack of familiar names joining Auguste Rodin in Meydan including Coltrane, Eldar Eldarov, Emily Upjohn, Lord North, Luxembourg and Tower Of London.

You can find all the latest horse racing odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, below is the full schedule for the Meydan meeting.
