The Mares’ Hurdle is the big chance for the girls to strut their stuff on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.
Quevega bagged an incredible six wins in a row between 2009 and 2014 to establish Willie Mullins as the leading trainer in the race – run over the intermediate distance of 2m4f – but other handlers have shared success in recent years with the likes of Roksana, Honeysuckle and Black Tears on the scoresheet.
Marie’s Rock landed last year’s renewal for Nicky Henderson and the defending champion faces a proper test for her Grade 1 title as her principal rivals including Honeysuckle take their chance.
You can run the rule over our Mares’ Hurdle odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.

Mares’ Hurdle 2023 betting
Mares’ Hurdle odds are on paddypower.com and prices for the leading contenders can be seen on our snazzy widgets below.
Marie’s Rock is the favourite with Paddy Power for the Mares’ Hurdle after looking better than ever on seasonal reappearance when landing the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Honeysuckle is next in the betting after connections opted to fire the 2020 winner at this race instead of the Champion Hurdle.
Epatante is also prominent in our market after being supplemented by trainer Nicky Henderson.
