Paddy Power’s Ryanair Chase non runner money back market has been thrown into flux after hot favourite Allaho was ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival.
The dual Ryanair Chase winner has not been seen on track this season and his hat-trick bid has been abandoned after suffering an abdominal bleed at the weekend.
Chris Richardson, managing director for owners Cheveley Park Stud, said: “Having worked pleasingly this past Saturday, Allaho was found to be uncomfortable after working and was then taken to the Fethard Equine Hospital, where he was found to have suffered some sort of abdominal bleed.
“Although a very rare condition, this was obviously of great concern. However, following treatment his condition appears to have stabilised.
“According to Willie Mullins this morning, Allaho is bright and comfortable with a normal heart rate, so obviously this is most encouraging, but we have to play things day by day.”
Allaho’s absence could prompt a string of talented chasers to take their chance in the third race on the card on St Patrick’s Thursday at Cheltenham. You can check out Paddy Power’s latest Ryanair Chase odds via our snazzy widgets below.
Blue Lord could emerge as trainer Willie Mullins’ leading hope for the Ryanair Chase after landing the Clonmel Oil Chase on seasonal reappearance.
Conflated – owned by Ryanair bigwig Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud – looked the best of the rest before falling in last year’s renewal and landed the Savills Chase in December.
Fakir D’Oudairies did not tackle last year’s renewal of the Ryanair Chase after finishing a distant second to Allaho in 2021 but Joseph O’Brien’s stable star is a four-time Grade 1 winner.
The classy eight-year-old is set to tackle Shishkin in the Ascot Chase on Saturday as Nicky Henderson prepares to step the two-time Cheltenham Festival winner up in trip after a flop in the Tingle Creek.
Envoi Allen, Fury Road and Pic D’Orhy are also prominent in our Ryanair Chase non runner money back betting market.
