The Queen Mother Champion Chase is the feature race on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival.
It is the leading minimum-distance contest over larger obstacles in the British calendar and there are 13 fences to be jumped before connections can dream of banking the £225,080 winning prize.
Energumene landed last year’s renewal to finally end Willie Mullins’ duck in the race and the Irish-trained horse is bidding to join the likes of Altior, Master Minded and Moscow Flyer as a multiple winner of the prestigious Grade 1.
You can run the rule over our antepost Champion Chase odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.

Energumene is the favourite with Paddy Power to win the Champion Chase and make it back-to-back victories in the race. The nine-year-old looks set to follow the same path to Cheltenham having kicked off his season by strolling to success in the Hilly Way.
Edwardstone, the winner of last season’s Arkle over course and distance, is next in our antepost betting and heads the home charge, despite unseating his jockey in the Desert Orchid last time out.
Willie Mullins’ second string, BlueLord, has come on leaps and bounds in his second season over fences and is also prominent in our early market after an eye-catching victory in the Paddy’s Rewards Club Chase over Christmas.
