The Champion Hurdle is the feature race on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival in 2023 and we could finally see Constitution Hill and Honeysuckle face off.

Constitution Hill remains unbeaten and the Nicky Henderson runner put in the performance of last year’s meeting when bolting up in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, winning by 22 lengths.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Honeysuckle suffered her first defeat in December at Fairyhouse, however, punters are still desperate to see the star duo go head to head. Willie Mullins, meanwhile, has a few solid entries headed by State Man, with Vauban, Sir Gerhard and Sharjah also being entered.

You can run the rule over our antepost Champion Hurdle odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.

Constitution Hill is, unsurprisingly, the favourite with Paddy Power as he goes for his sixth win. He won by 22 lengths at Cheltenham last year but can he pull off a similar victory?

Constitution Hill Champion Hurdle (Antepost)

Willie Mullins’ State Man looks the most likely to cause Constitution Hill any problems. He’s won his last five races under Mullins, who will be desperate to stun Constitution Hill.

4/1
State Man Champion Hurdle (Antepost)

Honeysuckle‘s stock has slightly dropped since her defeat at Fairyhouse in December, however, everyone is still keen to see Henry De Bromhead’s star go against Constitution Hill. She’s won it the last two years but can she pull off the hat-trick?
