The Breeders’ Cup 2022 will see the world’s best flat horses on turf and dirt compete for some of the biggest prize pots on the planet.
Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky has the honour of hosting this year’s two-day meeting. It will be the third time the track has staged the Breeders’ Cup having previously been on duty in 2015 and 2020.
The Breeders’ Cup 2022 takes place on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 with a whopping $28,000,000 up for grabs across 14 renewals.
The richest race on the schedule is the $6,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Classic, a 1m2f scrap on dirt that is set to feature Flightline, the highest-rated horse in the world.
Plenty of Irish and UK runners are making the trip across the pond including Epsom Oaks heroine Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth II Stakes scorer Bayside Boy, last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Modern Games and speedball stablemate Creative Force.
The runners from our part of the world are set to feature in races on the turf oval at Keeneland, which clocks in at 7½f. The dirt oval is the bigger of the tracks boasting a distance of just over 1m.
You can live stream every race at the Breeders’ Cup 2022 from Keeneland on the Paddy Power website or Paddy Power app. You just have to log in to your PP account and you’re good to go. You don’t even have to place a bet to watch!
