The field for the St Leger, the final English Classic of the season, is starting to take shape after a field of 13 stood their ground at the latest round of declarations – but how are Paddy’s traders pricing the antepost market?

Hurricane Lane remains the red-hot favourite for the St Leger at 4/6. Charlie Appleby’s charge is seeking a hat-trick of Group 1 wins after scooping the Irish Derby and Grand Prix de Paris over the summer. He has only suffered one defeat this year when finishing third behind stablemate Adayar in the Epsom Derby.
MOJO STAR separated the Godolphin duo back in June before suffering a 9½l defeat to Hurricane Lane in the Irish Derby. Richard Hannon’s runner finally broke his maiden status in a Class 3 contest at Newbury last month and is priced at 13/2 in our antepost market for Saturday’s contest at Doncaster.
OTTOMAN EMPEROR – on a four-race winning streak – is also prominent in the market off the back of his breakthrough victory at Group level in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood in July.
