An incredibly small but slick field is expected to tackle the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park.
It’s a battle of the generations with dual French Classic winner St Mark’s Basilica and El Drama set to fly the flag for the three year olds against older Group 1 winners Addeybb and Mishriff.
New to Paddy Power?
The Eclipse Stakes is one of the most valuable races of the Flat season and the Group 1 contest challenges each runner’s speed and stamina over a distance of 1m 2f at the Surrey track.
A string of high-class colts and fillies have won the race since the turn of the 21st Century including Sea The Stars (2009), Golden Horn (2015) and Enable (2019).
It’s all set up to be a thriller with Saudi Cup winner Mishriff vying for favouritism with St Mark’s Basilica in Paddy Power’s betting market.
