16:50 – Red Mirage

Jebel Dukhan, Credence Star, G’Daay and Tomouh all have something to recommend them but this looks good for RED MIRAGE. He won a fair 6f event at Kempton on his sole 2yo start and the extra furlong today should be in his favour. He may be good enough to defy the penalty.

17:20 – Run This Way

Arion Fox won very comfortably on her nursery debut when last seen but that form was nothing special and she’ll need more up 8lb. She may well be up to the task but there are alternatives and Lethal Talent and RUN THIS WAY both have something to recommend them. The latter ran a promising race at Nottingham on her recent return to action and could be the answer.

17:50 – Velvet Vista

Stall 15 isn’t ideal for Ventura Vision but she has run her best races at this track and a revival could be on the cards today. Aces and the unexposed Golden Age both make some appeal but VELVET VISTA continues on her upward curve and she may be able to register a third C&D success this year.

18:20 – Maori Knight

Arctic Vega ran a very encouraging race upped to this trip at Newbury last month and he’s feared, while unexposed 4yos Big Wing and Cedar Cage have the potential to do better this season. The really interesting one is MAORI KNIGHT (nap), who has won here, goes well fresh and is absolutely thrown in on last season’s best form. He often compromised his chance by pulling too hard in 2020 but he has been gelded since last in action and this might be the time to catch him.

18:50 – Blow Your Horn

Only six runners line up, but four of them won on their most recent start, making this a warm handicap for the grade. The likeable 9yo Murhib bids for a hat-trick and surely won’t be far away, while Pearl Beach aims for a four-timer on her first outing since November. But BLOW YOUR HORN, now living up to his useful pedigree, may have the most potential and scored with a fair bit in hand under Jamie Spencer at Newcastle last time. He looks the one to beat.

19:20 – Allegranza

Newcomer It Girl is bred to be a useful middle-distance performer and enters calculations, while Lion Face and Cover Drive both remain capable of better. ALLEGRANZA ran perfectly well behind a useful and race-fit opponent on her recent return to action though and she looks the safest option.

19:50 – Global Prospector

All four runners can have their case put forward and with some conviction. Autumn Flight hasn’t looked back for this yard and he’s greatly respected but GLOBAL PROSPECTOR may be able to reverse last month’s C&D placings today. If they get carried away up front then Jack The Truth has the ability to pick up the pieces.
